Is arutas

Is Arutas beach with its transparent emerald green and deep blue sea stretches for several kilometers in Sinis. Also known as the beach with grains of rice, it consists of small grains of quartz varying in color from pink to green to pure white. Is Arutas and the nearby beaches of Mari Ermi and Maimoni differ mainly from the rest of the Sardinian coast in that they are composed of porphyritic granite rather than the more common limestone. The slow disintegration of the material under atmospheric events and specific cooling conditions creates a seabed composed of polychromatic quartz granules. This unique corner of Sardinia is still wild and unbuilt. Basic services are provided, but it is not a mass tourism destination.
San Giovanni di Sinis

San Giovanni di Sinis was, until a few years ago, a fishing village, today it is instead a famous seaside resort. San Giovanni, is located of the Sinis Peninsula (it is part of the Marine Protected Area Penisola del Sinis - Isola di Mal di Ventre), along the road that leads to the ancient city of Tharros near, Capo San Marco. The beach stretches for about two kilometers between the Phoenician-Punic (later Roman) colony and Funtana Meiga. The waters are crystal clear and rich in fish and aquatic vegetation. Frequent winds make San Giovanni a famous surf spot.
Sa Mesa Longa

Sa Mesa Longa is located between Capo Mannu and su Pallosu, and owes its name to a natural sandstone barrier that stands a few dozen meters from the shore and completely isolates it from the waves pushed by the mistral winds, creating an authentic natural pool. Sa Mesa Longa, the long table in Italian, is part of the marine area of the Sinis Peninsula and is located a few minutes from Putzu Idu, in the territory of San Vero Milis. Sa mesa longa is a beautiful and peculiar beach, its colors vary between the yellow of the fine sand and the pinkish of the shoreline. Completing the color variation is the black of the rocks that plunge into a sea of blue and green hues. The seabed is mixed sand and rock.
Su pallosu

Su Pallosu in 2016 was voted Sardinia's fifth most beautiful beach, the first in the province of Oristano. Su Pallosu is one of the many beaches located near Capo Mannu, the northern limit of the Sinis Peninsula and marine protected area. Su Pallosu is also well known because behind it resides a feline colony, which houses and cares for the cats and organizes guided tours.
Mistras

The Mistras lagoon is located a few kilometers from Oristano in the territory of Cabras. It is the largest lagoon environment in the central-western part of Sardinia and rich in prehistoric and historical evidence. It is an ideal place for birdwatchers, in fact pink flamingos and many other species nest here. The most exciting time of year to observe and photograph pink flamingos are the first weeks of June when these beautiful migratory birds stop to build their nests and lay their eggs.
